The SurlyCast – Episode 1
A conversational gaming podcast. In our pilot episode we discuss Jason’s Game of the Year list for 2013, the announcement of the PlayStation Now game streaming service, and the rise of the Steam Machines. We also tumble down the rabbit hole of Lindsay’s vanilla WoW habit.
My fiancee Lindsay and I have created a couple of podcasts together previously, both of them dedicated to specific games, and both of them short-lived for one reason or another. I’ve been wanting to do a broader gaming podcast for awhile now, one that captures the typical conversations we have about gaming across all platforms, what games we’re playing, what we’re looking forward to, what’s in the news, and so on. Now that 2014 is here, it seemed like the perfect time to give it a shot!
Finally, after many scheduling conflicts due to busy lives outside of the game, we return to deliver a proper episode. We make up for lost time by talking about the new player experience with Lindsay (aka Natalya Kontarsky), and then follow that up with an in-depth discussion on the state of the game, weapon balancing, proposed changes, the upcoming conversion to 12v12 and a whole lot more.
I hope you brought a lunch!
In this episode we take time to talk about recent changes to LRMs, the introduction of the Blackjack, and the announcement of the Victor assault mech.
A conversational podcast dedicated to Mechwarrior Online. In our pilot episode we discuss our introductions to the Battetech universe, the current state of the game, and our hopes for where it’s going.
In episode 3 we talk about how we’ve been spending time in Tyria, including our first experiences with dungeons, massive world events and the island of Orr.
It’s just the tip of the iceberg!

Welcome to the Mystic Forge podcast, a conversational podcast covering Guild Wars 2.
In our debut episode we take time to introduce ourselves, talk about the races and professions we plan to play when the game launches this weekend, and give an overview of each of the playable races. We pay particular attention to how ArenaNet has made each of these races unique and set them apart from races found in other fantasy MMOs.
Hope you enjoy watching as much as we did recording!
See you in game!
